Whether you’re training to achieve a new fitness goal or wanting to play with your grandchildren without pain, we can help. We provide physical therapy personalized to your needs. When you choose us for services, we treat you as a person, not a diagnosis. You can trust us to listen to you, develop a cohesive plan and work constructively with other care professionals to keep you and your goals front and center.
We treat patients with any type of orthopedic injury, from head to toe. If you’re dealing with surgery – such as joint replacement, rotator cuff repair, scopes and spinal fusion – or your dealing with that nagging/chronic pain, like lower back pain, you’ll benefit from our individualized care. We also specialize in treating TMD (temporomandibular disorders affecting the jaw and facial muscles, also known as TMJ), balance disorders, post-concussion syndrome, whiplash injuries.
Our exceptional therapists can help you with:
You also have access to a variety of modalities for tissue repair and pain management, including electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, ultrasound, hot/cold therapies and cervical traction.
If you’ve been injured in a car accident, on the job, or due to someone’s negligence, you likely need a personal injury lawyer to help get you the compensation you’re entitled to. After an accident, people are often confused as to how they will pay for treatment and what they are entitled to receive. You’re entitled to have reasonable treatment paid by the responsible party or their insurance carrier.

We offer a range of cost-effective services to improve the rehabilitation process for injured workers, employers, physicians, claim managers and insurers:
We emphasize hands-on (manual) therapy to improve tissue and joint mobility so you move, and feel, better. This also includes scar mobilization and visceral mobilization of internal organs.
Our education and consulting services include ergonomics consulting and body mechanics education to help prevent injury and protect your workforce. Services also include an Integrative Health Assessment and Nutrition Consultations to help address other non-musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Services are available onsite or in our clinic.
Based upon your evaluation we can create a program for you to get the most out of exercise. Whether your sport requires multiple quick bouts or prolonged activity the focus will be shifted in the proper direction. Most sports require a combination of both quick and sustained movements/activities and each session will be individually tailored to meet your goals and improve wellness.
This is a 60 minute movement screen that gives the clinicians at Cedar Valley Physical Therapy a look into a patient’s movement patterns, restrictions, asymmetries and compensations. The musculoskeletal physical is completed utilizing the Functional Movement Screen, SFMA Top Tier, the Y Balance test, and a variety of strength testing to assess potential for injury. These tests can be administered no matter age, sport, or fitness level.

Todd has over 15 years of outpatient orthopedic experience. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 2003 with a masters in physical therapy. Before that, Todd attended Iowa State University where he was a student athletic trainer for the football and baseball teams.
The treatment philosophy of Todd and his practice is deeply rooted in his Christian faith. Therefore, he feels that everyone is a unique individual with a purpose and should be treated as such throughout their rehabilitation. This philosophy took a huge boost after he was diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis, an autoimmune disease. That, coupled with a few other events, has sent Todd on a knowledge journey that goes beyond the traditional realms of physical therapy . Now, he strives to incorporate his new found knowledge of Integrative Medicine and Pain Neuroscience into his practice.
Todd is blessed to have a wonderful wife and eight amazing children. His spare time is spent being with his family and shaping their lives to be more Christ-like.
Diana studied athletic training at the University of Iowa and graduated in 2005. After working at a local high school and in a clinical setting, she returned to school to become a physical therapist assistant. She graduated with a physical therapist assistant degree from Kirkwood Community College in 2011 and has been working in a clinical setting ever since.
Diana grew up in a small town north of Cedar Rapids and has continued to live there since finishing college. She lives with her husband and three dogs on a small acreage in the country, where she enjoys time with family and friends, yoga, gardening (mostly vegetables), canning and cooking, reading and walking her dogs.
As a Physical Therapist for more than 13 years, Angie has worked with all populations in outpatient and skilled therapy settings. She is also a Balanced Body Pilates instructor and has received specialized training in nutrition. Her professional expertise and personal experience with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) enables her to help clients through pain relief, nutrition and life skills to reach new levels they didn’t think were possible.
When Angie was diagnosed with RA, she had just given birth to her third child. She could barely lift her son because of the pain. Getting out of a chair was difficult. Medications controlled the arthritis, but the side effects, both short- and long-term, led her to seek other answers. She made lifestyle changes in 2013, incorporating Functional Medicine, nutrient dense food, Pilates and Physical Therapy. Angie is now medication-free and pain-free and has completed multiple athletic events.
Angie believes we were created to thrive in this world, performing the work we were created to perform. Treating the body as a whole is the answer! To that end, she will apply her holistic nutrition certification along with Pilates and Physical Therapy to help each client find their way to his or her healthiest possible life.
